This week, we’ll explore the best Sims 4 urban hair cc. I’ve been into urban gameplay lately, so I’m on the hunt for the best custom content to transform my Sims into urban fashionistas.

On this list, I want to focus on contemporary, street-inspired, and culturally rich styles that often emphasize Black and POC (People of Color) hair textures and aesthetics. Think box braids, wigs, lace frontals, buss’ downs, etc.

As usual, all the CCs are free to download and use in the base game.

Keniyah

We’ll start off the list with one of my favorite black creators, KieGross (you’ll see a lot of their work on my Sims). They design some of the best frontals for the base game, and this Keniyah hairstyle is no exception. It has a side part with peacock curls and comes in 12 intense shades. You can go for the vibrant colors if you want to add pizzazz to your Sim’s look or stick to the darker colors for a more neutral style.

Lace Frontals

Lace Frontals always look good on black Sims. They add a confident, bold look to their aura while bringing a city girl flair. This cc contains three lace front wigs for your city girls. My favorite is the tiara side-part frontal, which is pictured above. I love the swoop at the end, as it adds some pizzazz to my Sim’s look.

Nothing screams urban more than loc’d hair, and luckily, I found these Palm Tree Locs designed by EH Sims. As someone with locs, I can’t resist downloading a beautiful loc’d style. This one features a half-up, half-down hairdo to resemble the look of palm trees. You’ll find a female and male version that you can use on Sims aged, child to elder. Iyah Locs

Another loc’d hairstyle to add to your Sims 4 urban gameplay are these Iyah Locs. They’re wavy locks tied into a high ponytail. BADDDIESIMS is one of my favorite black creators, and I always use their content in-game. So, I had to include their Olivia Hairstyle on the list. It’s a half-up, half-down hairstyle with curled ends. The half-up comprises a high ponytail that falls on both sides of the face. The rest of the hair falls on both shoulders, creating a full, voluminous look.

Karla Hairstyle

Dark and Lovely Collection

Growing up as a black girl, I used a lot of Dark and Lovely hair products, so this collection brings back nostalgia. It’s a collaboration between Ebonix and the haircare line to bring Simmers six unique hairstyles for black Sims. You’ll find braids, locs, and curls, but my favorite is the Bantu hairstyle pictured above.

This is one of the few hairstyles you can use on female and male Sims.
